May 17 Memphré | GRIS Estrie

May 17 Memphré is a three-part event to raise awareness and celebrate the 2SLGBTQ+ communities.

On May 17, 2024, starting at 3:30 p.m., there will be a panel exploring coming out and supporting someone as they come out. This panel will feature four duos of parent-child panelists who will share their experiences with a view to raising awareness among the 2SLGBTQ+ people, stakeholders and allies in attendance.

Starting at 5:00 p.m., there will be a symbolic march in Magog from Espace-Ressources to Centre l'Élan, with a stop at Parc des Braves, during which there will be speeches and readings.

Around 6:00 p.m., the Centre l'Élan will welcome participants for performances by drag queens and 2SLGBTQ+ artists from the region, as well as a community BBQ that will give the 2SLGBTQ+ and Memphrémagog communities a chance to gather and exchange.
